2022 Gold Coast Music Awards - Producer of the Year
Being a classically trained euphonium and piano player, Brad realised there has never been a ripping euphonium solo on MTV, so he traded it in for a synthesizer, 6 strings, a ProTools rig and a song-writing pad.
Now a busy multi-instrumentalist, session musician, and record producer (2022 Gold Coast Music Awards Producer of the Year winner), Brad has also written literally hundreds of jingles for various brands all over the world, produced the track “Amy Shark” off Amy Shark’s 2021 Cry Forever album, and build’s Amy’s live show as her touring Musical Director.
As well as performing on, writing for and producing numerous indie, pop and rock bands from around the country, Brad has also found quite a niche in working with and producing some of the country’s best Brass Bands, as well as writing and producing children’s music for educational programs with Decodable Readers, Bravehearts and Lucas Proudfoot (Proudfoot and Friends).
Brad currently shares his time between touring, lecturing songwriting and studio production in the Bachelor of Contemporary Music with TAFE QLD, Southern Cross University and the University of Canberra, running his own recording studio and production facility - Blind Boy Studios on the Gold Coast and spending time with his beautiful young family.
Brad loves the sound of red leather on willow and remains hopeful that just because there hasn’t been a euphonium solo on MTV, doesn’t mean there won’t be in the near future.
Brad is currently touring with Amy Shark (musical director, synth, and guitar), City Over Sand (guitar, keys, vocals, production), and is a YAMAHA and Line 6 endorsed Artist.
